Dear Canyon Rim Families,

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a summer full of sunshine, late bedtimes, popsicles, and at least a few moments where you didn't have to remind your kids to put their shoes on.

I'm so excited to kick off another amazing year at Canyon Rim and am incredibly honored to be serving my second year as your PTA President. Last year was such a fun and rewarding experience, and I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together this year.

This school year my son, Landon, will be in 5th grade. I'm not sure how that happened so fast, but I'm choosing to believe time speeds up once your kids start elementary school.

Last year brought an unexpected and exciting opportunity for me. Midway through the school year, I joined the Canyon Rim staff as an Instructional Aide. What started as a chance to help has turned into something I absolutely love. Getting to support our students during the school day, while also serving our families through the PTA, has given me an even greater appreciation for what makes Canyon Rim so special. I truly feel lucky to wear both hats and be part of this amazing community.

The PTA has a fun year planned with family events, student activities, teacher appreciation, fundraising, and plenty of opportunities to get involved. Whether you can volunteer for an hour, help at an event, or simply cheer us on, every bit of support makes a difference.

If you've ever thought about coming to a PTA meeting but weren't sure...let this be your official invitation! We promise they're friendly, productive, and—perhaps most importantly—there are usually homemade baked goods. Full disclosure...I'm usually the one baking them, so if nothing else, come judge my latest recipe. I can't promise every meeting will change your life, but I can promise there will probably be dessert.

Whether you're a returning family or brand new to Canyon Rim, we're so happy you're here. Please don't hesitate to introduce yourself, ask questions, share ideas, or jump in wherever you'd like. We'd love to have you be part of everything we're building together.
